I was sitting in a cafe a few blocks away from my apartment. It was relatively new so I decided to check it out. It was a pretty cute place and it's pretty quiet. Not a lot of people but I have a feeling it will be pretty popular in the future.

I'm wearing this new (f/c) beret I got from this little shop next to the cafe and it's probably the best thing I've ever bought for myself. It fits really nice and looks awesome on me!

Someone walks up to my table drawing me out of my thoughts.

The man gestures to the chair across from me. "Is this seat taken?"

Like I said before, there aren't a lot of people around. There are plenty of seats open. But, this man is pretty attractive. Okay, really attractive.

"Nope." I smile at him as he takes his seat.

"Captain Jack Harkness and what might your name be?" He held out his hand.

"It might be (Name)." I took him hand and he kissed mine. I raise my eyebrows at him and make a face that I hope says 'Seriously?'.

He chuckles a bit. "So. What's a cute guy like you doing he all alone? No girlfriend or..."

I roll my eyes. "I'm reading and no, no romantic partner. For now."

"I couldn't help but notice you have a really nice butt- beret. Do you like France?" He tacked on the last part, trying to make it seem like that's what he was going for. But I'm Fairly certain he meant to say butt.

"I've never been, so I wouldn't know, but I do like this hat!" I say, pulling the beret down a bit.

"What are you reading?"

"Just some poetry."

"I love poems!"

"Really? Who's your favorite poet?" I ask suspiciously.

"I'm a time traveler."

"Really?" I ask disapprovingly.

He nods, "Yes Sir!"

I roll my eyes and get up, pushing in my chair. "Maybe you should try the bar." I pat his shoulder and head for the door.

"Wait! Where are you going?" He stands up.

"I'm taking my nice butt and beret home."

I maneuver through the other tables and finally make to the door. "Have a nice day!" The woman at the counter calls.

I walk bit then bump into someone. "Oh! Sorry I wasn't paying attention to where I was- going." I look up to see none other than Jack Harkness. How did he get her so quick? I just left the shop. He would have had to be with me when I left.

He smiles down at me and raises a brow. At stare at him in awe for a bit but then cross my arms.

"You went through the back door."

Jack holds out a rose.

I point to a flower stand just behind him.

"That's just a coincidence. Besides the cafe doesn't have a back door."

I squint at him in suspicion then walk back into the cafe.

"Excuse me. Strange question, does this place have a back door?"

The woman shakes her head 'no'.

"Thanks." I walk back out of the cafe. Jack smiles at me still holding out the rose.

I take it and chuckle a bit. "Alright, Captain. I'm impressed."

"So?" Jack says suggestively and walks closer to me.

I kiss his cheek. "I'm still going home. But," I take a pen out of my pocket and write my number on his arm. "I'm free at 8." And I walk away smiling to myself.

"8 is great! I got all the time in the world, babe!"

I chuckle and shake my head.
