Excited whoops and gleeful shrieks filled the air as Tsu, Mina, and a couple others splashed around in the waves. Momo and Kyoka were sharing an ice-cream. Koji was building a sandcastle for some little crabs. Katsuki, Eijiro, and Denki were fighting over the rinsing spout. Despite having been together for a couple years now, Class 1-A never got to do fun things as a group very often. It was a welcome break. You didn't even know where to begin, and you really didn't want to be a third wheel anywhere. Getting a sunburn was also a very real fear, so you had been staying in the shade and avoiding the action thus far. Little did you know that the action was about to come to you.

"(YN)!" an assertive voice startled you from your thoughts. It was the class rep, purposely marching straight up to you.

"Oh, uh," you tried to form some words. Normally it wasn't a problem, but something about Tenya Iida always made it very difficult. "Hey, Tenya."

"Why aren't you out enjoying our time here?" he questioned, almost accusingly. "Midoriya and I went to great lengths to organize this outing."

You focused on shifting your feet in the sand. "I, uh... I guess I just don't know what to do."

"Well then! Allow me to invite you for a walk down the pier?"

His forwardness caught you off guard, though it really shouldn't have. Iida was a very thoughtful yet take-charge type of guy. It was one of his many irresistible qualities. Up this close, you could take in all the rest of his handsomeness as well. Whatever you do, do NOT think about how lost you could get in that midnight-blue hair, you told yourself. Or about how wide and toned his chest is. Or about how the sunlight glints off his skin and makes him glow like some kind of god.

"Y-Yeah! Of course!" You had to shake yourself away from your thoughts. You hoped he would mistake the redness in your skin as being from the sun. Before you realized what you were doing, you were making your situation worse. "But... I'm scared of getting sunburned... Do you think you could...?"

"...Help you with sunscreen?"

You nodded sheepishly.

"Of course. I even have some with me," he said, producing a small bottle from his shorts pocket.

You couldn't help but giggle. "Always so prepared, aren't you?"

"I try," he said, smiling. "Now, if you would, please turn around."

You did, hearing him dispense some lotion into his palm. You closed your eyes and tried to suppress a shudder when his hands met your shoulder blades. They were so gentle as they slid down your back, and you could almost swear there was a bit of hesitation before he pulled them away. You turned around again.

"Do you need any help?" You asked, feeling it was only fair to return the favor--but you'd be lying if you said you weren't also trying to use it as an excuse to touch him. To your disappointment though, Iida shook his head.

"No thank you. I've already done my own," he told you. Well, at least no one else got to help him either. "Now then. Are you ready to go?"

You nodded. "Lead the way."

The both of you set out, walking side by side at a leisurely pace. You felt a little bad Tenya had to hold back for you. But then again, those powerful legs could easily outpace anyone, especially if he decided to use his engine boost.

"You know," he started, snapping you out of your thoughts again. "I actually wanted to talk to you about something. Something rather important."

He must have seen the involuntarily horrified look on your face, because next he was chuckling softly. "Don't worry, it's not that bad. Come on, we'll discuss it over food. Is that acceptable?"

You nodded dumbly and let Tenya lead you over to a little food stand on the boardwalk. You each got a hotdog--he insisted on paying for both of them--and went to sit side by side on a bench. It didn't take long to finish the food.

"So... What was it you wanted to talk about?"

"Ah, that. Yes, um..." He scratched at the back of his neck as you looked at him curiously. It wasn't like Tenya to be put at a loss like this, and he had seemed so confidant just a moment before. You rested a hand on his shoulder.

"Whatever it is, you don't have to be scared yknow," you told him. "We've gotten through so much as a class. Whatever comes next, we can handle it."

"No! No, that's not what I wanted to talk about," he said quickly, a little pink as he turned his bespectacled gaze downward. "It... actually has nothing to do with class."

"Well, spit it out already."

Tenya took a breath and squared his shoulders as he sat up and looked you in the eye. "We... we need to discuss our feelings, (YN)."

Your mind did a 404 error. "Wha... Feelings?"

"I've had my suspicions for quite some time," he went on. "But it was Midoriya who confirmed what I already knew."

"I... He... What??"

Izuku was your most trusted friend, and the only one you had ever told about your pathetic crush. You couldn't believe what you were hearing. You'd kill him later if you were just a little more dubiously-inclined and/or he weren't so hard to hate.

"Yes. And..." Tenya was clearly having trouble. He bit his lip and let his hand brush against your cheek. You suddenly noticed he was much closer than he had been a moment ago. "Maybe it's best if I just show you."`

Your entire body froze in place as you felt his soft lips ghost over your own.

"This... This is what you wanted, isn't it?" He said, suddenly panicking as concern laced his voice and knitted his brows. "For me to reciprocate your feelings?"

You finally found your voice. "Y...Yes! Yes, this is exactly what I wanted," you breathed a sigh of relief. "Tenya, I..."

"Will you be mine, (YN)?"

Wrapping your arms around his waist, you nested your forehead beneath his neck and smiled as you felt him hug you back with those strong arms.

"Of course."
