I’ve lost track of how many small, enclosed spaces that hold two tied up girls that I've been stashed into while in the sleuthing business. Jerks just always seem to have one on hand just for Emmy and I. Along with rope and tape and zip ties and a bunch of other common hardware store items.

Anyways, Emmy and I were about to get thrown into a box after getting caught snooping. Some people don’t really enjoy having their illegal smuggling operation (otherwise known as just smuggling) seen out in the open! Was their fault for using a for-rent restaurant as their hideout in the middle of a public road.

Both of us were tied up with our wrists behind our backs, legs lashed together, and above and below our breasts. We were brought in front of the ringleader, who was sitting on top of a metal ramshackle storage box.

“Well well, when I heard we had two girls sneaking around, I had a feeling it’s be you two!” He sneered.

Emmy cocked an eyebrow at him while squirming slightly in his underling’s grip. “So, you’ve heard of us?”

“Rumors travel fast.” He shrugged. “Especially when it involves two cute little things who get tied up all the time! “

That got a bitter laugh out of me. “Well, if you know us, then you know how this is gonna end! So do yourself and us a favor and let us go!”

“I got a better idea!” The ringleader retorted. “How about I put you two out of the way, and then if your boyfriend shows up, we beat him to a pulp! How’s that sound, blondie?”

“I’m terrified.” I deadpanned. Emmy just snorted in laughter.

This took the wind out of his sail, and he just got off the box with an annoyed look on his face. “Alright, gag these brats and put ‘em in here.”

Our noses were pinched shut and rags were pushed in front of our lips, followed by some long towels yanked over our mouths when we inevitably opened our mouths.

“Rrrrggghhh!”

“Hmmmmdffff!”

The box was opened by one of the underlings. He held it open like a door being held by a massive asshole butler. “In ya go, girlies!”

“MMMMMM!”

Emmy was plopped inside on her back and her legs bent, with me right next to her moments later. And then the box was closed and latched shut like a trumpet case, leaving us in darkness. Naturally something like this wasn’t going to stop up, so we started doing our best to escape. The box was very tall, with our kneecaps scraping the lid. So we could just wiggle around like caterpillars.

“Mny lmck? (Any luck?)” Emmy asked.

I shook my head despite her not being able to see. “Nmmp! (Nope!)”

And then, before Emmy could say anything in response, *WHAM!* Something landed on the lid of the box, hard. We heard something shuffle around, sliding down in front of us, before being pulled away. Emmy and I remained silent, looking up at the lid. The latches were undone, the top lifted up, and light blinded our eyes. And the person opening it up always…

“Oh. It’s just you two again. Back in the box you go.” Luno stated plainly. And then he shut the lid.

Emmy and I sat in silence before rocking the box again. “MMMMRRRRPHHHH!!”

We heard Luno chuckle before he opened the lid again. “Kidding, kidding. Mostly, anyway.”

"Nmt. Fnny. (Not. Funny.)" Emmy grumbled, but accepted the help regardless.
