My new pastel drawing, "JOKER". It's rare, when i like movies about comics universe, but now i really liked this movie.Made with soft pastels on A3 paper.

Very well drawn, by the end of the film i was unsure of my feelings toward Joker, some say he is a victim, others that he is too self-pitying. Maybe it's a bit of both.

I agree it was hard, but the reason i mentioned it, is more because i would have wished to help someone like that. I've had depression for 20 years, and feeling sorry for oneself might be justified, but it doesn't help the person in question, it just adds more weight to the (metaphorical) ball and chain around their ankle. There is only one way up and out of depression, and that is through many positive actions, art, creativity, speaking to people, even when you don't feel like doing anything at all. The only other option is nihilism, as happened to the Joker, it's easier, it takes far less effort, but time marches on and with that attitude, the final result is loss, wrong action and regret. But this is a side-issue, the main thing is that the painting is skillfully drawn

yes, I agree with you, he had many ways to continue his life after all, but he chosen nihilism and destruction.

Well is not a comic movie, even people think about it... is a real drama and a... another way to show mental issues.

YEP! good taste. The greatest mistake is if they will film a sequel, and sure they´ll do it.... one is enough.... Hollywood is always doing that kind of mistakes, money is money....
