It's a childhood favorite of mine as well, I think you did an excellent job at capturing everything! Last summer at a comic con I encountered a guy who was publishing a very extensive book on the making of Dark Crystal, if you don't already have it I am sure it is something you'd certainly want.
I know two people who were so affected as children by the scene of the Skeksis tearing apart one of their own that they became life-long vegetarians!

Excellent art, and finally, a realistic draeing that also gives every character their distinctive looks- (many good artists forget to characterise these fellows, and all skeksis, all gelflings or all mystics end up looking generic and strange in their drawings)-- you have done a great fan-work, and it´s plain to see that you know the characters you´re drawing as well: their faces, clothes and manners of posing, all is spot-on!.
