the cropping, medium lighting and lack of strong shadows/highlights works well with the mood of the pic, though the inconsistent blur looks odd IMO.

Yeah, the lens focal length and the aperture kinda messed me up on this one... but I'm shooting again tomorrow, so I'll be in the 11-16 range....
