Here's the finished sketch of the Organoid thing I posted before.I got lazy last time and didn't explain what it was meant to be... so... here we go:
I'm sure you all remember my white haired OC, Shadow? Well he was initially created in a lab, to be a WMD. The details are long and boring and require a special profile page in order to explain fully, but what it all boils down to is that Shadow (named Mackenzie at that time) became part of an Organoid Chimera project. They replaced Mackenzie's heart, with that of a salvaged Organoid core (from the infamous Shadow from Zoids CC) That's where he got the nick Shadow from and the fusion of the two created this alternate Bio Organoid form that Shadow can take.

Hey, since you're so incredibly awesome at drawing organoids...is there any chance you might take a stab at drawing the one I made up? Laser the wolf organoid? I know, wolves are different from reptiles, but I have NO DECENT TALENT at drawing cool streamlined metallic animals, and I want sooooo badly to see a picture of him.

Ya, Perona's the half Hyrren. I'm talking about the same Shadow you know from the DP story, but the DP version is the AU version. The one explained here is how he's originally supposed to be.

I've finished colouring him now, but I need to do a background, unfortunately I can't at the moment, since :iconelecticfox5: got some Flight Sim games for Christmas so he's hogging the desktop at the mo. Hopefully though, if I get some RAM for Christmas I may be able to run photoshop on my laptop without it lagging like crazy!

Poses are definitely important. I think I'm starting to improve on them a little, but legs do give me problems. I need to learn how knees work.

I've started using a lot of refs from manga books

I like observing real people (or pictures of, lol), because I want to keep improving my art towards a more realistic feel. It really helps with getting an understanding for how arms and legs curve and move, even though it's a little tough because I can't just go around staring at people.

That's the ideal way to do it.
I used my own hand as a ref when drawing my "Oh look, another InuYasha pic" Of course, since it was my right hand I had to use as ref and that's the same hand I draw with, it was a little tough
