Description
King Scar had many followers, most of them were either cubs when he gained the crown or were born during his rule. They grew up with his propaganda and either forgot Mufasa or never knew he existed. Plus, the fact that Scar hand-picked Simba's friends to be his own bodyguards and advisories. None impressed him more than Chumvi, mostly because of his brown fur and dark mane reminded him of a bulky version of himself. So much so that Scar held a ceremony when Chumvi became an adult, where he was given his own scars above his eye.
Chumvi took his job seriously ever since the beginning, he threw away his entire cub-hood for Scar. One of his colleagues wasn't as serious about her job, honorary princess Tama. She has no blood relation to Scar, but his queen Kilinda. Tama's mother is Zira, the queen's sister. So she knows, no matter how much she goofs off she knows her job is secured.
"What are you doing?" Chumvi scoffed as Tama starts playing tag with him. Both of them are protecting the entrance to the king's den as he took his nap.
"Uh, playing? Cmon, Chumvi! We don't have to be serious 24/7." She giggled.
"Yes, we do. We're responsible for the king's life. The Pridelands has enemies who might try to assassinate King Scar."
Tama chuckled, "And where are they? Chumvi, you'd said you'd lighten up for our relationship."
"Off duty, yes. Right now, we have a job to do."
