Some kind of a gift toI was too lazy to do a normal background. And I suck at drawing rats and mice, I know it.
I think the armor of Roman Legionnaire suits Cluny very well.

I prefer the happy ending, with Matthias surviving, marrying Cornflower and having Mattimeo (who is one of my personal favourite characters, from the point he matures as a young warrior and defies Slagar even when in chains)
Though on the other hand, I have reservations... Matthias did kind of cheat with that bell - even if he didn't renege on the promise of coming down from the belltower. (Mind you, even Captain Barbossa could keep his word but bend the means of reaching that end)
I strongly believe that the Joseph Bell never actually killed Cluny - it landed over him, and he was only injured and concussed. Of course, the peace-loving Redwallers didn't think to check the "corpse" when they removed it, so who's to know...?

I can't understand why did Matthias so wanted to find Martin's sword if he just cut bell's rope. He could do it even with Shadow's dagger...
