Hyperfixations are fickle things. A few months ago I was incredibly keen on developing my story setting 'Champions of Good and Evil'. I haven't given up on it, not by a longshot, but lately other projects have held my attention more. Before the latest spark fizzled out, though, I finished two pieces. You're getting one now, and one a little later (psst, if you follow me on Instagram you've already seen the other one ) Since there's fewer posts, I'm going to cover a broader scope of time in the story. Let's begin

Sometimes those with the highest potential have the furthest to fall. Last Time , our heroes met Galaxie, a cosmic being of unfathomable power. Galaxie came to Earth after escaping The Incarceration, a vast prison which exists outside of regular time and space. Galaxie was wrongfully imprisoned there, but a majority of its residents were not, and they are now escaping through the hole Galaxie left between worlds. More and more of The Incarcerated will find their way out into the Universe, so Shen and Galaxie agree it is necessary to close the hole. Unfortunately, this must be done WITHIN The Incarceration, so Xorin uses his vast technological knowhow to construct a rocket which will take the heroes to the waypoint which exists out in space.

The group faces individual challenges which test the limits of their fighting ability and sanity. Against all odds they manage to close the breach allowing spectral prisoners to escape. Sadly, on their way out they are followed by the remnants of a malicious elder god, which possesses Xorin without anyone noticing. Back on Earth, Xorin helps Gigatropolis develop a planetary defense satellite which can protect them from future threats, putting less pressure on the heroes of the world . Little does anyone know, the satellite is part of a larger plot.

Xorin has developed a ray which can turn people into creatures resembling his new mutated form, which he dubs 'Wraiths'. The others discover his true nature too late, with Xorin escaping via teleport into the satellite itself. Impervious to all forms of interference or physical force, he threatens to fire a massive 'Wraith Ray' from the satellite which will cover whole continents, but it is blocked by Shen in his Celestial Dragon form . Rather than turning Shen into a monster, the ray seemingly kills him, leaving the other heroes devastated and fearful for their world. Vindictive and tired of losing people, Sylphina hatches a plan to beat Xorin. She has Galaxie create a wormhole in space while the others force Xorin to go through it, leaving him to die, trapped in his invention, on the other side of the cosmos.
