Yeah, I thought it'd be nice to make my own wallpapers for once.

I will admit that this IS my first attempt at One. I'm pretty happy with it because he is a BITCH to draw!

You can use these as your own wallpapers, but I would like a comment or a fave or SOMETHING along those lines please.

Anyway, with each wallpaper comes my opinion on the character. Don't worry, I'm not going to bash anyone. ^^

So, One...

I can't help but say that I respect the guy. After watching the movie a couple times, I've kinda learned to feel for him.
Yes, he is a jerk, but there are probably legitimate reasons behind that (besides being made that way XD). He is a character that you can't help but think, "Just WHAT did this guy go through? Just WHAT does he know?"

One is definitely someone who deserves a little respect. Despite what a lot of people think initially, he is indeed trying to protect his clan. He just has a different way of doing it. Shane Acker himself states that he is the war general. He knows how to lead people IN war, but doesn't know how OUT of it. And from what I know, generals can sometimes use fear to control their... for a lack of a better term... subordinates.

Edit: One thing I really wanted to touch on but completely forgot to.

DARWINISM.

I think we can all tell that's what caused most if not all of his actions. Yes, he was prideful and a quite stubborn, the mentality of Darwinism, or "survival of the fittest", influenced his decisions. It's not like we can hate too much for that, can we?

They're all that's left of humanity, right? Then we shouldn't be furious and hateful One for adopting that Darwinism mentality that most humans and almost all animals automatically rely on in dire times, expecially during war. That's what probably caused Seven and One's rift in the first place: One's old school Darwinism and Seven's younger mindset of saving EVERYONE (which could possibly kill MORE people if you're reckless). So in that sense, I can sympathize him a little more.

Though he does deviate a little from his true duty, and let's face it most leaders DO, he does eventually get back on track and redeemed himself by sacrificing his life for 9 and the others. Honestly, he's okay in my book.

Let's give it up for Pope Doll, everybody! ^^
