Description
Seems a lot of people make these character sheets of their characters, so I decided to make one myself. Jonathan Long (Pyrothraxus) fully body drawn.I rarely draw his tail straight out. This gave me a chance.
You get to see the base colors I use for Pyro's coloration.

Have you by any chance played Neverwinter Nights 2?There is a black cristal dragon there Nolleloth i think.He vas killed by the king of shadows an is only showed as a spirit head.I think that you kould do a great job if you try drawing him.

Have not played NW2, nor do I own the game. And I haven't played NW1 either.

Now THIS is my kind of dragon. I'm not much of a fan of the skinny, long-legged dragons everyone's drawing nowadays - no offense to them - but I like me some classic fantasy reptiles. 
(I'm such a nerd.)
Great job on this 'un, especially with his head design and shading on the neck scales. AWESOME!

Well, he's certainly isn't skinny, but neither is he the what I would consider the 'classic' design...being potbellied, squat-legged and looking rather sluggish to where the creature could hardly move around, (e.g. Elliot from Pete's Dragon).
Jonathan's body design is based off of partially a saurian look and also a feline look (and he doesn't drag his tail), which I think makes the dragon look more powerful, look more fearsome, and scarier. Despite his ability to fly, Jon also can chase after someone just by running after him. Nothing's more scary than a charging dragon. And being able to run is a good ability especially if Jon's in a place where he can't fly.

Very true, very true. I stand corrected; I just call all stocky dragons 'classic' now since 'birdgons' are so common lately. Hee.
I agree with you there, dragons with a stiffer tail - kind of raptor-like, they can move it around but it's mostly off the ground - appear fiercer and more... more like a streamlined killing machine, really. I've noticed that a lot of villain dragons have tails that wave around a lot.
I'm not so sure about that, however, as I think a gigantic red beast coming in from the sky is just as scary as getting trampled to death/gored. But I definitely see what you mean. XD
Nevertheless, this guy's design is fantastic. The perfect dragon.

Well, considering that red dragons prefer land battles to aerial battles...yeah they can be scary at both. It's those giant wings of theirs, they don't have much maneuvering power in the air. I tend to joke about Red Dragons being the jumbo-jet of the draconic species because of their size and wing-width. I did in fact show off a comparison of Jon's size to a Boeing 747. They're marathon fliers, not dog fighters. Reds don't make good dog fighters. So, yeah, they tend to battle on the ground. They'll land and then charge. Either way, you'll be needing a change of underwear when you go after him.

He's actually a Red Dragon, not a fire dragon. Fire dragons actually look a little different.
