To some up my feelings about this ship in a few words: I never realized I wanted this until I got it. They were both plot devices to start off what Mina was doing in regard to Star's party to unite Mewmans and Monsters. If nothing else, despite what they went through on their first meeting, I would have been satisfied with them just being friends.

Now that it was confirmed they are a couple, it's become one of my favorite ships in Star vs the forces of evil. Underrated and minor characters such as Slime and Penelope Spiderbite are great to see and think about in terms of stories and fanfic ideas simply because you can do so much with characters like them. That and no one in fandoms tends to have this big fight over small ships like them anyway because there is no competition in that regard.

If I had to give two selfish reason why I like these two as a couple it would have to be because they can be/are reminesant of Eclipsa and Globgor (in some way) and it spits on Shastican's grave that one of his decscedants, albeit I don't think Penelope is directly related to Shastican because of how he died, is dating a monster. Both reason go with a theory I have about Shastican's "true" fate since that has some missing details and holes in it.

In conclusion, this is an underrated ship that could use more attention and its become one of my favorites in svtfoe. If svtfoe gets any expansive material in the future then I want some of it to focus on them.
