Made for an improvement challenge: fav.me/dakfu5j

The rule was for the original to have been done at least as late as June 2015 and as it happens, that's exactly when I originally made this one. I had also intended to push my rendering capabilities with the original drawing, so here was a perfect chance to test improvement.

Trying to name off stuff that's improved, I barely know where to start. But the most obvious one has to be the face. It's amazing how little the original resembles her. Working in 3D a while back really helped with that. In addition, the new version also has two light sources, which are represented much better due to greater consistency in the overall lighting patterns. Another one that has to be zoomed in on to see is the addition of a lot more textures on the skin and the pillows on the couch as well as the slice of cake she's holding out. I did throw in a few elements from the old background, but these too needed some working on to fit them in right.
