Description
This splendid buck hangs around our part of the forest. I shot this picture from my living room window a couple weeks ago when he was lying in the afternoon sun with the light playing on his impressive antlers. In this forest clearing I’ve seen bucks like this one lower their heads, lock horns, and shove each other around. This guy may have lost the tip of one of his ears (view full size) during one of these battles.See also:

I lived in San Francisco once. It's a beautiful city, but I prefer the quiet peace of the forest. The people who live in this area are vegetarians. I think the deer sense that we don't want to eat them so they aren't quite so afraid around us.

Hmmmm, yea i think so. i am far away from the forests. I just sometimes see these kinda animals at TV.
