Kai led Suiko down a worn path that in time changed from grass to stone beneath their paws. The moment the ground sunk away and the horizon opened up into a vast, misty drop she knew they had arrived at their destination. She ran ahead briefly before looking back at Kai with wonder and curiosity radiating from her gaze. He simply nodded forward encouragingly with a warm smile on his face. Her own smile growing, she darted off to the edge to take in the full view with Kai strolling lazily behind. Memories of his first visit to this exact spot when he was at her stage of life swirled in his mind; it was still as breathtaking as the first time. He was sure that Suiko agreed.

This is a throwback to this piece I did for Kai when he was a kittom! I really liked it despite it basically being a thumbnail and wanted to do it better justice since I didn't have the time to back then. So I figured what better way than to make a follow-up story with his daughter, Suiko! This was so much work and I even lost an hour of progress that I had to redo at one point which shaved off a few minutes of my lifespan lmao ;;; But I'm VERY happy with the overall outcome! <3
