Description
Disclaimer: This image comes from the film Venus Wars by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko, and the idea for this belongs to Marcoasalazarm, so give kudos to him for this write-up."Fucking hell, would you look at the size of that thing. What's the bet that Brianna was the brains behind this monster?"
"Pretty fucking good I'd say Anko. Come on, we have to get these charges planted before the crew wakes up and gets a free dirt nap from the Black Bears."
"Yeah, yeah. Christ, just goes to show those Diggers are fucking freaks when it comes to overkill, and I thought the BTP-100 was a monster."
"It is a monster, this thing is just stupid."
Mission recording of SIU operatives Deunan Knute-Worth and Anko Mitarashi-Harding commenting on a DiggersTech Laumer-class Super Heavy Tank in the possession of the North Korean Army.
Mission was a total success and allowed for valuable intel regarding the vulnerabilities of the tank.
IGU Intel Brief KSA-9000912-CMO: DiggersTech Laumer-Class Super Heavy Tank
DiggersTech is a mega-corporation that epitomizes overkill in a (relatively) man-portable package with some of the most sophisticated super-technology available on the market, excluding the works of Hakubi Customs.
However, we here at the Intelligence Gathering Unit were stunned when the first reports came in from our operatives at DiggersTech concerning the so called 'BOLO on a budget' project that would create the Laumer-Class Super Heavy and the Laumer refit for the US Army's M1A2 Abrams.
Thankfully, we at the IGU are happy to confirm that unlike our SWAT-issue Portable Hellbore and the National Guard's 'Oberon' Hellbore Sniper Weapon System, the Laumer-option refit merely uses an advanced laser weapon and thus there is no cause for concern on the possibility of our hard-earned Hellbore secrets being leaked to the Outside.
However, the Super-Heavy itself is a significant problem, particularly if the United States purchases this vehicle in quantity before we can shore up our defenses in preparation for the drive to expand into Grey Territory of Baja, California and the abandoned Mexican state of the Baja California Sur and secede from the Union as decided upon in the last general meeting of the Los Angeles State Council.
The Laumer-class is over two stories tall, and studded with mini-turrets fitting sufficient fire power to overcome a division of heavy armor combined with no less than four naval-class guns and numerous mortars, missile cells and anti-infantry weapons that are quite literally too numerous to count and all of it can be controlled by an AI system that has been programmed by a third-party software engineer to mimic the thought processes of the original BOLO units alongside a crew of four.
IGU agents inside DiggersTech have confirmed that the armor is conventional, but is so thick that it might as well be MDC. This does create an advantage in that the vehicle is incredibly slow and the tracks of the vehicle are exposed, meaning that an interim tactic will be to hobble the vehicle and then pound it at range or subject it to orbital bombardment from the Orbital Defense Unit's carrier the 'Eagle' and its small networked fleet of satellites.
The powerplant is a fusion system and agents report that overheating is common and thus the range is limited, but these problems can be rectified, meaning that as of the time of this report, it is the opinion of the IGU that pre-emptive attacks are the only safe option to deal with the Laumer-class and that over-heating should not be considered a weakness.
Attached to this document is a series of planned operations designed to irrevocably damage or otherwise destroy the Laumer-class both while it is in motion and while at rest.
Please distribute these to the SIU so that they can begin ascertaining the best methods to destroy this monstrosity should they threaten the city.

-1x Weapons Officer
-1x Sensor.Communications Officer
Powerplant:
-DiggersTech Fusion Reactor

-IGU agents confirm that the Laumer-class is fully equipped to be self-sufficient, including crew quarters and five-week food and water supply.
Armaments:
-Numerous mini-turrets fitting unknown quantity and types of heavy weapons.
-Unknown number of missile launcher cells.
-Unknown number of anti-infantry and anti-light vehicle weapons.

-Proving that this actually is a weapon for warlords on a budget, IGU operatives have confirmed the Laumer-class to cost only 32 million dollars per tank.
Final Recommendations:
-Initiate industrial sabotage of production lines.
-Begin steps to increase the size of the Tu-280 Bear II-G Super Heavy Gunship fleet currently being used by the National Guard and increase numbers of National Guard BTP-100 Super Heavy Tanks alongside refitting current stocks with 18cm Hellbores.
-Update current ODU satellite fleet to integrate GDI 'Godhammer' Orbital Ion Cannon Satellites.
-Retrieve B-90 Starfortress prototypes X-000 and X-001 from Arasaka and reconfigure back into Airborne Strategic Platforms Banshee-1 and Banshee-2.
Sincerely,
Madeline Fowl, Director of IGU.

The Laumer-Class Super-heave Battletank is one of a growning number of tanks of the same designation. As well as the Laumer-Class and the BTP-100, there is also the U.N. GDI Mammoth Tank, the Imperium 'Baneblade' chassis and its modifications, the Ratte and Mauz (which have been seen in use by Millennium and is rumoured that Neo-Amestris is producing some), the Russian 'Obyekt 279', the UNSC 'Grizzly'-class and, of course, the BOLOs and OGREs.

Indeed, although its a wonder no-one's noticed that little note about the ODU's satellite fleet expansion.

Maybe it would be best for the sake of ODU to keep the fact that they are fielding killsats... the same way the Russkies did on 'Space Cowboys'. Maybe they are concealing the killsats onboard communications and weather satellites (like most everybody else but the factual military is doing).

Heheheheh... oh my friend, to the ODU, every satellite is a kill-sat.

It is a BOLO on a budget. It's only 2 stories tall. Laumers BOLO's averaged 6 to 9 stories. This is probably a MK V.
