"So this is the Luftwaffe's new Knightmare-killer? Doesn't look that nasty to me."

"Shut it. I heard that thing can crack open any knightmare it sees, there's a reason we're moving ahead of the main unit, and I want to see what they have that has the jockeys so spooked."

Battlefield recording of Brittannian scouts observing a Luftwaffe aerodyne squadron's forward base during a brief period of open hostility between the two governments.

GMLA-BMW GAV-30 Prometheus Ground-Attack Aerodyne

A shadowrun term that caught on soon after the Hours was the phrase 'T-bird' when talking about aerodynes, which stood for a dedicated VTOL vehicle capable of hovering for an unlimited duration immediately after forward flight, much like the eponymous International Rescue craft.

BMW was an old hand at making aircraft and aircraft components since the World Wars and it came as no surprise to those in the know when they announced a partnership with General Motors Los Angeles, which had by now completely severed all ties from its parent company, to create a dedicated tank-killing aerodyne or t-bird for all branches of the German military.

GMLA provided the technology, ability to mass-produce at incredibly reduced costs and massive manufacturing capacity, BMW brought the know-how and exacting standards they were famous for and created a design that had the BMW style and was also a very dangerous tank and mecha killer thanks to its large internal weapon bay and deadly heavy laser cannons.

Currently the Prometheus is in use with the German military with limited private purchases.
