Description Cauliflower pizza base with grated scamorza cheese, bacon, shalots and fresh basil. Never though such unconventional pizza base could be so tasty; not sure how much of that is thanks to bacon though

WOW!!!! That looks amazing and I never would have guessed the crust is cauliflower based. How would you do that? Is it cauliflower flour? or do you cook it, make a mash and mix it with flour? Wow, that's incredible.

it's actually simpler than I had thought: you chop up the cauliflower really nicely in a food processor so that the texture is similar to couscous. Then you cook it for 8 minutes in a microwave (or you can boil it and then drain the water really thoroughly). Wait till it cools down (you can prepare the toppings in that time), then mix in an egg, salt, pepper and if you like - some chopped up herbs, like dill. Spread the mixture on the baking paper and using your fingers shape up your pizza base about 4-5mm thick. Put on your toppings and bake Only since the cauli is already precooked, it takes like Β minutes to cook the pizza (basically till the cheese melts), so the toppings should also be precooked.
I also tasted the cauli right after it was cooked - chopped up like this it would be a nice substitute for rice or couscous. Tastes great, will definitely make this again

Wow, that's such a creative idea! There are times when I'm craving pizza but set the idea aside because of the calories, that sounds like an incredible substitute! I will have to try it and take a pic for you to see because I will most definitely make it. Thanks so much for sharing!
