Description
The original Raptorian series of side-arms first came to wide-spread use in the year 1073 of Maerden's Third Empire. They were designed to be easily modified, and functioned with parts being manufactured by almost 80% of the current aether pistol market. As a result, the gun's popularity boomed and several small-time side arms manufacturers were nearly put out of business. Darius Merryweather very well might have cornered the market in single-handed arcane firearms, if not for the Raptorian series's habit of leaking a bit too much aether radiation than the average consumer was prepared to handle. After three decades of production, the Raptorian series was not nearly as popular as it had been at its debut. But, it remained a well-liked weapon among the arcanists and aether engineers, as well as the sky-pirates who worked on aether-powered ships. Although it's quite the antique, it remains nearly as functional as the day it was first made--surely a reliable weapon for any arcanist looking for a little extra protection.Materials: wood, bits of metal junk, fabric, wood stain.
Time: August 2008. 7 hours of construction. Made for Gen Con Indy 2008.
Edit//
This gun isn't for sale. But, I'm thinking about making similar, one-of-a-kind, anachronistic firearms if people are interested in buying them. At the moment, I'm not even sure how I would price them. Comment with your thoughts.

Did you cut the body yourself? It looks really nice.

Thank you. No, I didn't cut the body out myself. It's an old rubber band gun.

Rubber band gun was made out of wood, then wood stain... Was the rest of it essentially found objects or did you customize some on your own? The muzzle thingly looks like a bunsen burner of some sort, and I now have a desire to go to my local thieves market....
Whatever it is... this is great! Appeals to the artificer victorian in me.

The rest was found objects, but some parts were broken and put back together in different ways. Glad you liked it.
