Description
I thought I would've put up the 95/2000 concept first, but I decided to get this out of the way first. I just really love how this looks. But I thought I should mention: neither the taskbar nor the Start menu should've looked green( they're supposed to be clear), but regarding I made this in Paint, as I do everything else, that was expected. I originally didn't want to stray too far from the look and feel of XP, because I like it, but it still turned out very, very nice, especially the taskbar. I think the Start button does the new Windows logo some justice. What do you think?UPDATE: I'm not sure yet, but I may update this visually. If I do, I'll upload it seperately.

Nice, but in Paint? At first I even thought you meant the XP/Vista one, but then I remembered the 7 one (I am right aren't I?) Still not that proffessional tool, amazing result you got out of it though (I tend to use GIMP myself for stuff like this). Like it.

Using Paint wasn't too much trouble, actually.

You got it right, it's MS Paint. And you're right, people often don't realize its full potential. You just have to know the right ways to use it.

Yeah, you're right, it's the Windows 7 version of Paint. And thanks.

Have you tried Gimp? It's like the second best graphics editing software right after Photoshop.

No, I haven't, but I have tried a CorelDRAW Graphics Suite X5 30-day trial. It's been updated to X6 since then. But I'll definitely give it a look, though, thanks!

It's really great and I even prefer it for certain things over Photoshop, +it's free.

I had a background image called 'Energy Bliss' to draw over first. Then I made the taskbar and Start menu with the rectangle tool w/ dark green marker fill, which is how it turned out transparent. Then, all I needed was the Text tool for the menu items, the word "start", and the clock. What you see is the result.
I think like this; "If you don't have what you need, take what you have, and make it what you need." I don't have anything like Photoshop, because it's WAY too expensive, so I took what was available, Paint, and did what I could with it. The result was better than I thought it would be, and turned out different than what I originally had in mind. In fact, everything I have put up thus far is made with Paint.
