im guessing your getting tired of me submitting the same thing again and again?well this will prolly be the last of em. the weapons selection for the tank. just like the World of tanks preview tank in render only mode
the weapons list:
130mm high velocity gun (Stock gun)
7 barrel 50mm Rotary cannon (cant have no spam gun have we?)
105mm super high velocity gun (snipey snipey!)
and a 210 mortar (derp gun)
all made in sketchup

can i ask why do turrets (long ones for example) have a barrel within a larger barrel deign?
is it to lessen recoil?

that depends back then larger guns had larger breech blocks and a number of recoil dampeners that requires more recoil space. and sometimes a design of a longer turret is also to save time for reload by arranging the ammunition to face the same direction of the Β gun would mean no need for flipping the round about and also due to the fact of larger calibers need larger casings and hence the length.Β
now with today's technology, since we dont need a hull gunner/radioman Β the hull is reduced and the turret's long shape is used for ammunition's storage with blow off panels along with radios and computers.

though i get the barrel compressing as it fires to soften the recoil (right? )

oh for the recoil dampeners, if you see on the FlaK 88 for example, you see a cylindrical tube on top of it, that helps reduce the recoilΒ

bingo, and for today's system it uses more advanced recoil dampeners and more compact size to offer more space in the turret for other thingsΒ
