Narmer a warrior cheiftain of the South merged an army under the aegis of Horus the Falcon(his shamanic totem)...they overthrew the varied city mystery sects that they viewed as having become effete...For the first time the Southern Upper Egyptian white cap,was united with the Northern Lower Egyptian red feather...sanctifying the rite of Pharoah as Horus' chosen...Narmer took the name "Menes" and built Memphis-"The City of White Walls" as his seat...now the "Old Kingdoms" could ensue....3000 years later,the head of a very different sect would wear a very similar cap!

There were numerous glyphs depicting the head dress you speak of , that had egyptologists stumped for a long time. The mystery was presumed to have been solved when translated inscriptions made it clear that there was a merging of both Northern & Southern regions at one point in Egypts history. Some scholars like, Zechariah Sitchin, even believe these were more than just ceremonial adornments. They may in fact have been part of a more elaborate " Space Suit" worn by these Gods & that the merger was also a marriage between two Extraterrestrial Families. Sumerian texts clearly state (as compelling fact) that Horus actually flew a winged craft in the shape of a "Giant Falcon", that his "Falcon Ship" was armed with sophisticated thermal weapons, and that his "All Seeing Eye" had the ability to appear from the sky anywhere on the earth. This is very reminiscent of the Vimanas spoken of in ancient Sanskrit texts. BTW did you know that Robert Oppenheimer "Father of the Atomic Bomb" was one of only a handful of scholars who could read & write Sanskrit! A language considered to be dead at that time! What other talents & secrets did he know? Hmmmm.......

Those high energy physicists have some penetrating minds...science at that level becomes purely mystic...Atlantis has an odd potential hinge with such matters...
People who ponder this are usually always looking for some concretized archaeological remnant...and there efforts are most interesting-ranging South America,Bermuda under the sea...plate techtonics and the former Pangeaia...
Personally though-I wonder...like let's say that life had played its evolutionary cycle out on a world chain on the other side of the galaxy(or for that matter in another galaxy altogether)...and say this were Atlantis-maybe in Orion-played out...
And here locally...earth...full of mastadons,and mammoths....carbon rich...dinosaurs killed off by an asteroid...fertile and awaiting an advanced life wave...
A massive transmigration of spirit from one physically close(albeit dimensionally near)world system extinguishing-to another world system ripe for engendering....
And however this lifewave crossover is achieved...it could leave pockets of high cultural advance...that are associated with the "physical remnants"...yet the search for an actual Orion based Atlantis(or any other star system) would be in vain...
