Description
Edith had been hunting in the west side of the forest. She always prefered the night time, as it always nicely concealed her bright yellow fur and made it easier for her to blend into her enviroment. She was esspecialy excited about tonight's hunt, for she has spotted ferret tracks fairly close to her home. She hadn't caught a ferret before and was tracking eagerly to add this small predator to her prized collection.
As she was prowling through the night, she heard strange noises coming from the north side of the forrest, where the humans resided. She wasn't too fond of them or their strange magic and technology, so she dissmissed the sounds and continued on.
But before she could take another step, a giant creature blocked her path, towering over her with sharp claws and a faint smell of blood. Edith scurried from her hunting position, now proping herself with her right hand to stay balanced.
"W-who are you?! This is my teritory!" she tried to shout, but the stutter in her words gave away the terrible anxiety she felt within. She had faced off wolves and bears, but she had never seen anything like the strange being before her.
"......please" the figure spoke, voice raspy and rough, as if they hadn't had anything to drink for weeks.
"......please, help me..."
The clouds, covering the night sky uncovered the moon and finaly shed some light upon the forest. Edith was now able to get a full glance at the creature, but was shocked after what she saw.
Tears were streaming down from those beautiful baby blue eyes. A rope, strong material no doubt, was hanging from their neck, indicating that they were tied up. As her eyes scanned down their torso she saw their giant clawed paw putting pressure on the wound, that was bleeding profoundly.
A blush started forming on Edith's face as she looked upon the stranger's face ince again. They really were beautiful.
"I can't let them take me back! Please, hide me, I'll do anything!" The stranger spoke once again, now with fear apparent in their voice. A few voices were heard in the backround, about a mile away. Edith thought for a second, then took their paw in ther own and tugged, indicating them to follow her.
She'd leave the ferret hunting for another day.
