In this show I actually liked the Fire Nation villain characters (Zuko, Azula, Ty Lee, and Mai) better than I did the heroes and I think my favorite episode in the whole show was "The Beach" in Season 3 which was the only episode that focused on them just being normal teenagers instead of it being about the heroes and the villains battling each other or seeing just the heroes deal with normal teenager problems. What was really memorable about that episode was that Azula who up until this point was shown to be a ruthless calculating sociopath was actually revealed to have her own insecurities just like everyone else on the show (like for example being extremely awkward when it came to getting boys to like her) because despite how evil she was and how fierce of a fighter she was she was still just a kid like all the other characters.

I love this, in general, but I particularly like Mei. I always liked her in the show and thought she was a cooler character than Azula anyhow.
