Ah this is what I meant by the death's head. This is what this carving was called and this is a wonderful detail shot. Where are these stones? They wouldn't happen to be in the Old York cemetery would they? I'd love to take a few shots of these stones when I come up this summer.

No it's not in the York Cemetery it's in the Old Granary Burying Ground in downtown Boston. I do have some death head pics though from York at the cemetery next to the old Goel and some from the cemetery behind the church across the street. Unfortunately the name of the church escapes my mind.
