I’m still scratching my head over this one.I love Renoir’s Dance At Bougival, but I don’t’ understand the color choice of the flowers and some of the type of materials used.
I can see the roses (which as you can tell didn’t make the whole flower show), the lilies, but what throws me for a loop is the forsythia and the pine branch. I also wish they had picked a different color for the roses, but that's my opinion.
If you’ve figured it out please enlighten me.

Thank goodness some one else thinks it's odd.
I'm still puzzled by it.
