Found this guy hanging out at a local cemetery in Maine.Anybody know what kind of snake this is?

hahah you should put the "eaton" graveyard stone up! that would definitely get views! and wow, it's some banded snake, yet i dunno what type specifically it is.. though it doesn't look poisonous... you never can tell these days anymore great shot!

It wasn't a big one. I was debating between this shot and another one. The other one would have gotten a ton of laughs cause the grave stone he was on was Eaton.
I still have no clue what kind of snake it is though.

i dont know my snake species, but i really like the pattern on this guy. most of the snakes around where i live are pretty plain looking, lol.

I know as much as you. I haven't seen any snakes in my area since I was kid and they were always very plain.

they are either plain or if theyre garter snakes, they have a few long stripes running nose to tail they are pretty good looking snakes.

Thanks. The funny thing it was on a stone that said Eaton. We all had a good laugh at that.
I'll have to look into those to snakes and see if they're common in upper Maine. Thanks for the tip.
