Yashmir wandered into the valley; the winter had been long and harsh, but the spring was coming soon judging from the snow slowly starting to melt and the sagebrush greening up again. He slowly strode up a rise, ears flicking as he listened for any danger or even some other horses. He was lonely, after being shooed out of his birth herd he longed for some companionship, someone to keep him company; to join him on his journey. maybe this valley will be the place to find that? Looking over his shoulder his eyes glanced over the trees, snow and brush- this was the place for him for sure.
