EDIT: Hi! I've been mentioned that you don't see the "island" in this page in the lake's horizon, but you see it bright as day in future pages. Just wanted to say that when I was sketching this out, I intended the island (not angel island) to be further out.
..This island I'm referring to is the place where you just saw Bernie take off from the previous pages.

Yes. In this world, Humans and Mobains are very separate. However, in this small city, it's one of the rare places where humans and mobains can interact peacefully. Though, later on in the comic, you'll see that there are line-boundaries between the two species.
