this is accurate in terms of size, Ciaran is tiny here for story reasons- but that changes later on. This is also before Spinner got the scars on her face.

One of the most difficult internal conflicts arise when we are faced with the decision of doing what is right, even if it is more difficult, or doing something wrong because it easier. Which is the right thing to do? We are faced with these trials everyday. Do you steal what you need because the world has been against you? Do you help someone else whose path has crossed your own? The range is limitless.

In the beginning, Spinner led a mostly solitary life. She'd occasionally do work for a couple of clans, or get a legitimate job for a short while, but usually kept to herself. She was forced to join a fairly large clan due to dire circumstances. After a year of service to the clan, the leader was assassinated- the next leader in their place ruled the clan much more strictly. Spinner didn't agree with the reforms the new leader made, however leaving the clan in the current situation could cause more harm to herself than anything else. She crossed paths with a little white feathery creature while working, Ciaran, and the two bonded over their disliking of the current leader along with usually working in the same fields. Eventually a coup was attempted against the reigning leader- seeing an opportunity to fly up the ranks, Ciaran supported the coup, but Spinner was not so eager. Times were still tough outside of the clan but the clan's military proved to be too powerful for the rebels. During their seige on the leader's fortress, the majority of the rebels were either killed or imprisoned, with too few survivors left to restart the rebellion. Spinner and Ciaran were imprisoned and trialed for treason, which was a death sentence to higher ranks in the rebellion, but the two dodged the sentence when it was discovered that they were not massive contributors to the coup; a result of joining late in the game. A death penalty was deemed unnecessary, but it was replaced with an exile from the clan.
