Description
Catching my breath,
Enough with the running
This city has boxed me in
Giving me the illusion of freedom

I've been running for days
Escaping the walls of my sanity
The city wants me to call it a home
Giving me the illusion of freedom

I look at the clouds forming above
Little power lines cross my mind
Trees are reaching out from the pavement
Giving me the illusion of freedom

All the cars, shops, buildings, crowd
Can't all of us open our eyes and see?
We are all boxed in this city
And we can't break free

****

This is my first submittion with my new camera. The Canon 5D. I'm really exited about it, and I think it will be a love story. I will still keep using my Nikon D70 for Infra Red shots, and for a back up camera, but The "Full frame" monster is something I'be been planning on for a long time, and I finally did it.

Canon 5D
Canon 17-40 lens
Tel Aviv, Israel.

nice pic, as hellfirediva said, the formal decisions have a great effect on the photo...

looking at the right edge, the picture appeared to me like a rendering product (because of the clouds in the reflection and the sharp shape of the buildings - I hope you know what I wanna say [would work much better in german *G* ])

i have a question.
mostly nikon people recommend nikon and canon people recommend canon. so i dont know which to buy. ofcourse i cant get a 5d but i was thinking about eos 30d.
as a photographer who used nikon before and who is using a canon now, can you tell me their pluses and minuses.

btw great photo as usual

Like`gilad i use my Nikon as a Secondary camera, in-short just for infrared.

The 5D will work well with most Nikon Mounted lenses; I'll say this i upgraded from a 30D to a 5D. The 5D is a fantastic camera, it is full-frame, and packs a very, very nice sensor..

Nikon has always said they will never make a full-frame camera, so to people regardless if they are for Nikon, or Canon will be looking directly at the 5D, as it is effectively a one-off. Works brilliantly in low-light; EOS 5D is unlike any previous digital SLR in that it combines a full-frame (35 mm sized) high resolution sensor (12.8 megapixels) with a relatively compact body (slightly larger than the EOS 20(or30)D, although in your hand it feels noticeably 'chunkier'). The EOS 5D is aimed to slot in between the EOS 20(30)D and the EOS-1D professional digital SLR's.

Unlike the later, an important difference when compared to the 1D is that the EOS 5D doesn't have /any/ environmental seals, and will not work with EF-S canon lenses.

Or do you wanted to go wider and had some Canon lenses in stock ?

striking angle. like the (mixed in to the building through photoshop?) cloud effect. surreal withoit imosing too much of disunion from reality.

i'd suggest converting the D70, if you plan on using it solely for IR, by altering the "digital imaging sensors in most cases are just as sensitive to infrared light as to visible light. Camera manufacturers stop infrared light from contaminating the images by placing a hot mirror filter in front of the sensor which effectively blocks the infrared part of the spectrum while still allowing the visible light to pass. We remove this hot mirror filter and replace it with a custom manufactured infrared filter. The infrared filter does the opposite of the original hot mirror filter, it blocks UV & visible light and allows infrared light to pass unaffected."

there's a website on it -- [link]

haha, surpisingly I understand this. Turn the image ( or your head ) upside down and look at what is stationary, not the relfection. Was this shot after a big rain storm with some massive puddles on the street ?
