Description
I went on a trip to the moon,to realize my dreams.
I followed the light,
Walking and driving all night.
The night was ending,
And the moon was fading.
I stopped and stared at my dream,
Evaporate into the beginning of tomorrow
I wish the moon was a little closer,
Just one night away.
But I guess my dreams are not real,
If it takes me only one night to achieve
I turned back,
Half way to the moon
Half way back to where i started,
Where the night began.
That's very little darkroom, but still... Two photos, blended together.
One of the banana moon, and the second of the kid staring at what was the setting sun.
I had a vision of him staring at the moon, and i made in come true in "Darkroom".
The shot was taken in the Jewish holiday of "Yom Kipur", that is actully a fast.
The streest are empty from cars, and only kids on bicycles roam the streets, to enjoy the empty roads.
I hope you can feel what i was going for.

it reminded Roverandom to me, by J.R.R. Tolkien. kids are going to the bright side of the moon in their dreams while sleeping to make all their dreams come true..

'gilad, your pictures are, to say the least, awesome. And I don't throw that word around lightly, like the rest of my peers.
Being a moon worshipper myself, I must say, looking at this piece gets my imagination running. I also like how the Sun's light gives me the impression that the banana Moon is capable of casting such a shadow. I would never have guessed it without reading your description.
I look forward to seeing more of your work.

The fact that the streets are empty of cars astonishes me.
Not a second goes by (at least where I live) when a car isn't on the road.
It's so busy here...I guess it's nice to have peace once in a while, eh?

So far, I've only looked at a few of your pictures, and all that's running through my mind is "wow". This stuff is great. I love the concepts, the neat and great ties between the picture and the poem in the description. This one is an interesting one, because it reminds me of what I think often. About dreams, and where to go next. Maybe how I interpret it is different from the concept, but either way, this piece of work is brilliant.
