Description
Meow, meow.... can you hear me?
Meow, meow.... can you see me?
Meow, meow.... can you feed me?
Meow, meow.... what will become of me?
Meow, meow

On the narrow streets of Akko (Israel) there are a lot of stray cats, trying to make it through the day.
I thought it would make the point, shooting this from the cat's point of view.

first. streetshooting with an slr, is mostly nothing i'd suggest, because of size of the camera and lenses and sound of the mirror. for streetshots, you mostly need rangefinders. secondly, a d70 with sigma 10mm lens is somewhat trashy, when it comes to quality, that's why i asked if you have ever used some higher quality camera, because then you'd know the difference probably.

I used film camera before, but I think that you calling it trashy is out of proportions.
The best street photographers use the simplest gear.

as i try and write my comment, my own kitty (who we rescued from the pound) is patting at me with her paw so i will stroke her.
i love the colour and perspective of this; it broke my heart.

Wow. I've never seen anything like this before, and it's really tragically charming. Poor kitten.

this shot is truly a great thought put forth with a lot of effort. The young girl that you thought would stopped for just a moment to tend to the homeless cat, rushes by in a blur. Unaware of the cat's pain. This is wonderful. I look forward to seeing more great pieces like this that really make you sit and wonder. It's the small, fine details that really make this shot what it is.

Was this cat actually in the photo? He looks extremely out of place and the shadowing is off. He appears to be photoshopped in.

awww, so cute. The perspective is superbly chosen, and the colors are also sweet. The color of the cat is almost the same as the wall so he blends in and is even harder to see and makes you look over him even more... Superb shot

I took in 4 kittens myself that I had found abandoned. I was able to find a home for one. The other 3, I stayed with me. It's been a year and a half, and I can't help but wonder what might have happened to them if I hadn't followed my heart.
Let's just hope for the best for those little ones, eh?
Fantastic capture. Well done.

Excellent work! This image is so perfect, not just technically, but on an emotional level. The colours and textures over all are dark and earthy, which makes the little girl really stand out. The kitten seems to be watching her in particular... the last beacon of hope perhaps? Beautiful and thoughtfull.
