My first try at making a calendar.The theme is "A Different Look At Israel" which is a project I've been doing for 5 years now. My different view, as a photographer and a writer, at Israel. My country, that often looks as a war zone over world media, and deserves a more "personal" point of view.

At first I thought, there is NO WAY this pictures were taken in Israel
and then I began to recognize some of the photos and I was SHOCKED!

Israel is such a great country, and in the news papers and such they only show the wars, the bad side. I love Israel, and always will. <3

i dont really read much on israel from US papers and magazines, so ive never seen it look like a warzone. either that or I've been in tel aviv so many times to know its amazing!
Israel really is a miracle, survives thousands of wars and still looks beautiful. a country smaller than the state of new jersey has lasted 60 years with surrounding arab countries trying to take it away and they have yet to succeed!

A question, though, why can't the Palestinians and Israelis simply share the land, and live side by side?

well israelis BOUGHT the land, built it up from a swamp, arabs claim israelis took it from them. then wars broke out and palestinians naturally fled because they wanted to stay alive. Israelis offered them citizenship. they refused. They can live in israel just fine with no issues, but Israel is still the jewish homeland. its a really complicated issue so I'm simplifying it but basically, its not like we kick them out, its just we dont let extremist attack us. not an extremist? no problem.
