The shot is taken at Palmachim, close to the beach of Rishon LeZion, Israel. I was passing there when I noticed while driving that there is a small field of poppies there. I was taking some pictures there (a few minutes) when a religious family came to that small field and gave me the opportunity to mix nature with human nature.
The red blurry parts are out of focus red flowers I was shooting through to help get the "dreamy" effect.

ah, that out of focus would explain the blurriness. but that's ok that it's blurry, that makes it all the more beautiful, i think it would be better blurry anyway for this kind of piece.

This is a beautifully captured moment. Shooting through the flowers is a genius idea.
The red flowers kind of remind me of blood, and then they remind me of poppies. I think it would've been neat if there was a cross or tombstone instead of the man: "Flander's Field" so to speak.

This image has been created. The angle of view on the scene is about 20 degrees or so. At this angle it would be impossible to have out of focus poppies at the top of the picture and not include the out of focus ground at the bottom (assuming you were standing on a rather sttep hill in the first place and that the poppies arent meters long)
Its a great piece of art, but its not real.
