Very good. If this was made with Vue6, before planetary terrains were available, how did you do the atmosphere in the satellite? It's remarkably well done.

The texture uses a color gradient with alpha channel combined with incident angle on a simple sphere. The halo around the sun uses the same technic.

Ah yes, I use that too here [link] and here [link] , for example, but your image has a more gradual transition which I tried to achieve but was never able. At least now I know it's possible so I'll try harder. Your transition is almost as gradual as the planetary terrains made in Vue7, like here [link] or here [link] .

The secret is in the alpha value of the color gradient: I had to try and try again and tune ... but when you manage to match the gradient alpha value with the gradient color value, you can do what you want.
