It sucks that she didn't appeared in the diamond/pearl series. Misty has a great personality and amazing character development.

Yeah, agreed. It also was a darn shame they removed her in the first place, especially how they removed her. Honestly, if they're going to remove her, couldn't they at least have her, I don't know, actually pursuing her goal of becoming a Water PokΓ©mon Master and not being forced into a gym? And she was definitely one of the best PokΓ©mon Anime heroines, proved that with Princess vs. Princess where she proved herself to NOT be like the Fiorello Fangirls from Princess vs. Princess. Too bad the writers thought they should basically replace her with a Hina stereotype, and then continue that trend in DP (Honestly, it's bad enough that we've got the likes of Love Hina and possibly Battle Vixens regarding how girls are depicted, would it have killed the writers to NOT use that stereotype?), and all because the writers cynically thought that making girls eyecandy in terms of fanservice appeal would somehow equate to popularity among the fans.
