Description
The full title should probably be: "Lone Ordinator climbing the wall of the forsaken Imperial fortress near Ghostfence."Who knows, maybe that's even Saint Nerevar. Now, crazy fan gibberish aside, I tried to draw a picture with a background and I liked it!
There's still a number of things I don't really like about the picture, but I bet it's one of the few worthy items I've drawn recently.
In case you didn't know who Ordinators or St. Nerevar are, try TESIII: Morrowind. I want to go back to that game one of those days.

Which again brings up the whole pointlessness of using medium armor.

I only wore medium armor because some of them look nice. The Royal Guard Armor, Indoril, Ordinator in Mourning, Stahlrim, and a few modded armors.

It sure did. Then again, once you hit a certain level, armor class is not really an issue anymore

Yeah. At that point, I wear armor only because it just looks appropriate.

I just pictured a naked level 100 Nerevarine stalking the cliff racers... and swooping on them from above!

I'm playing as we speak. Still remains my favorite Elder Scroll of all time. Especially with all the mods out for it.

Funny the guy tells the player one true thing, about Boethiah's shrine. Pity you have to chase away all these slaughterfish and dreughs on the sea floor while listening to the daedra rant, because talking to the kitty doesn't trigger the quest.

Nah, I didn't have a particular location in mind. The ordinator is probably climbing some plug-in added imperial fort with uglie-nasties inside )

Dude. Your Ordinator is ninja.
See, the Imperial legion, they're all talk. Ordinators are talk and action. They do more than say "We're watching you scum." XD They're actually very cool.
I find this believable too. What if some renegade went into Red Mountain to hide from the Tribunal temple? Of course an Ordinator would be dispatched to extract revenge.
No wonder they're so grumpy. They have to do a lot of work.
I love the drawing by the way. ^_^ Very nice work. I like that you included the scarf, very important to have in ash storms.
I've recently started playing Morrowind again, it's great. XD

Hey, thanks. Actually, I'm more of an Imperial Legion fan (rawwr!), but their uniforms suck big time. Except for the golden helmet.
The only thing I don't really get is - given the number of Ordinators and how tough, mean and well-equipped they are - why Dagoth Ur managed to do so well...

Really? I like the Imperial legion's armour. I used to like the legion a lot. They remind me of Rome. And... I don't like.... Rome.... lol. The old Roman empire makes me angry. Because back then, there was really almost no way to fight them. Most powerful Empire ever... and being me, I always favor the underdogs.
So I'm not a fan of the Imperial empire in Morrowind or Oblivion. I don't hate the Imperials, they just annoy me.
I guess it depends on what character I'm playing though. I used to love the legion in Morrowind. (My Nord guy became the head of the Legion in Morrowind. )

Gilran In reply to Aneirin-Aryon [2008-12-16 08:00:34 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, sure imperial legions are a tad too much reminiscent of Romans (it's not like I know much about Romans anyway). Like them or not, I guess you're right, roleplaying a character who is a faithful citizen of the Empire shifts gears.
And I like legion 'cause they're soldiers. I guess that's some narcissistic ego-gratifying fantasy on my part but hey, it feels good. Problem is, in the end you don't end up being a general - just some honorary champion. Bleh. I wish there were a mod that would allow one to become a general and besiege Vivec city

Aneirin-Aryon In reply to Gilran [2008-12-16 17:50:21 +0000 UTC]
Lol. But you still are a high powerful leader. You are a general more or less. You become the leader of the legions troops in Morrowind I think. Yeah it's too bad you can't really control them though. But still, even you can't do anything without the Empire's approval. Not that that's bad.
It's a huge responsibility. But for some characters it'd be cool. I'm thinking of making a high ranking Nord or Redguard in the legion.

Lol. Very nice. ^_^ Oh you know the guy in Balmora? Larrius Varro? I heard him refered to as a genral. So once you get to his rank or beyond you're a general. ^_^
Lol. It'd be hillarious if he went down in history for legalizing Moon sugar.

Right-o! Once a legionnaire reaches the rank of a Trooper, he's given a cuirass and a small pouch of Moonsugar as an incentive. After he becomes an addict, you can send him to suicidal missions cause he'll crave MOAR moonsugar.
