remember i always said i couldn't act? see, that was a lie, too -- because you believed me when i told you i was fine. but my stage presence is confined to crying at comedies in the audience because i just found out i will never be in any other place.

the hardest part was that i loved you so much i wanted to change.

remember when we were all outside after school? the five of us, laughing and joking, except i missed all my cues. remember when i left, and you didn't say goodbye? remember when i looked back from the bus stop, and you still hadn't noticed i was gone. remember? no? i do, i remember.

i remember that your mother is a psychologist.
i remember you knew each other since you were born.
i remember that your dream is to be a pediatrician.
i remember how your great-grandparents met.

"why didn't you tell us?"

because i was afraid i would ruin it for you -- and i was afraid i wouldn't.

(i still hate that stupid slogan - i have concluded that i am worth exactly one seat in the audience).
