Description                        maybe i’m tired of being the one who always knows what you’re feeling.
maybe i’m tired of fixing it all.
maybe i’m tired of being the mother.

maybe i’d rather be fifteen and free.

once upon a long time ago, the mennonites fled their homelands to escape the call to fight, country after country and war after war.

today is feeling the sharpness of your words, knowing they cut you, too, wishing that there was just one of us who could stay whole through this.

today is when i curl up in a ball inside me, escaping to other people’s worlds so i don’t have to live in the one we’ve created for ourselves.

today is not a day when i forget that we’re falling apart.

the streets of ancestry are in a perpetual de ja vu.

Thank you! And really, often there is no sense to what I write, or at least not to other people.

Oh, and thanks for the watch.
