I will say that the piece is definitely crying out to say more on this subject. The ending feels a smidge flat for the moment (if you add more it won't be a problem at all) but it's such an interesting concept that I urge you to explore it further (maybe in the form of a counterargument?) Whatever you choose to do with it, I know it will be fabulous.
By the way, I hope I have now completed my penance for my extreme procrastination concerning your short story critique by reviewing absolutely everything you've posted recently. The critique should be there soonish. Maybe I'll do it en route to the city this weekend.
