Description
This is the Raven like bird that I came up with randomly for the "Deer Niche" drawing. I was staring at it and I just had to do a good version of it. The orignal drawing was just the basic outline and leg details, and everything was grayscaled and contrasted in Photoshop. I love how it came out, and I definitely will be using this bird in many future projects. It may become like the slinky, black cat that Tim Burton uses in his animated films (Nightmare Before Christmas, Vincent, Corpse Bride, Stainboy).Related content

I hate your mad skills... But being your friend Im not afraid to criticise one minor thing... the beak seems unnaturally long. Meh! Nothing to get worked up about!

The long beak was intentional. I wanted it to have a tucan shaped beak rather than a normal raven or whatever. If you tilt your head to the right and have the beak poking straight up, it looks kinda like a knife..or at least that's what I wanted. But yeh, I'm loving this lil fool, I made a wallpaper out of him. I might submit that later on, after a few more submissions, just so they're not next to each other in the gallery.
