Description I wish I did this more justice, especially since I'm posting this without any significant depth to the piece in terms of shading and light on the outfit.  But, it was going to remain in limbo... kinda like her.

Don't know who she is?  She's Ms. Howard from 's excellent comic "The Secret Checkup"!  If you have it... great!  If not... go buy it.  It's WELL WORTH the money.

That being said, this is going to be one of the last pieces I'll do before I start emulating more of his coloring style as a reference point, although I will admit I will go happy on the shiny sometimes.

Of course, now that some of the problems I dealt with the past few months are behind me, I can now finally make another attempt at enhancing my artwork, which is what I mean.  Will I succeed or fail?  It's up to me... and for you to judge.

This was made for me last year, and I am finally going to get around to utilizing it to my advantage because how he did Tiffany's suit and helmet is how I should focus on how to color the suit to my specs along with utilizing a light source.

Why, thank you.  Even with the imperfections, this was what I was aiming for.

Hah. That's the first fanart of The Secret Checkup! Very nice!

For the lighting, don't use the illustration I made for you. It's bad and terrible. Try to draw from real life references. Real life is still unbeatable in the form of reference for light effects.

Yup!

You know, I was hoping it would come out as epic, but it's merely... passable.  Do not worry... I shall draw more fanart of your wonderful comic.

Yeah, I do agree with you, but I just love it so much.    You didn't have to draw a respirator suit for me, and I am still proud of the effort.  However, by putting it down, it shows that you weren't satisfied.  If you want to be a good artist, "good enough is" should never be your motto.

I know about real life sources and how they make the best reference, such as how if you are indoors, either use any windows or artificial lighting to create shading, and also see about positioning of arms and legs affecting the clothing or garment.  My problem is just working out the details without it looking sloppy, but these things take time, and since I'm a slow learner (took me two years to pass Algebra 1 in high school), I just gotta keep practicing and eventually I will figure it out.
