Yup The famous space train, ever! Galaxy Express 999! It's an old anime from 1970s, but there's a newer version of this series, called The Galaxy Railways (Galaxy Express is the train itself, and Galaxy Railways is the corporation that run the train) While Galaxy Express 999 focuses inside only on 999 and the station where its stops, The Galaxy Railways' story run on several space trains and their station

And, about the alien passenger, 999's Conductor is an alien (THAT I LOVE HIM SO MUCH! ) And several passengers are Alien as well, including the protagonist, Maetel. The alien passenger that I know on the Galaxy Railways are 4 criminal alien that board a space prison train

And this is not a comedic anime and "American-Action-Alien" type cartoon either, it's a tear-jerker anime I always cry on each episode, (especially GE 999 where at least, 1 person or alien died on every episode)
