EDIT: I jazzed the lighting up to make it look more like how I originally wanted it to look, now that photoshop and I have become better friends over time.
LOOK! It has a background!!!
A pic from my sketchbook i really liked so i colored it. The proper title would be "The Doctor's Daughters and His Patient", and it really irks me that we can't type in longer titles. So yeah, i stuck with the only other title I could think of. Oh well.
Lars is from that book of mine I'm trying to get published.

This is a really fantastic piece! The colours, the patterns, the lighting, the posing and composition....it all works together so well! All the small details really pull the piece together into something even better than it would be without them! This must have taken a lot of time, but I'm glad, because it's a really inspiring piece of art.

Did you totally color/draw the patterns on those dresses all by yourself? And not use a texture? Wow, I am really impressed. It looks great. Also I love the one girl's hairstyle. Also I SEE GANGRENE HEEEEEE. Rotting flesh, oh Lars, next time use magic-proof gloves or something. Darned Fallen Virii, always screwin' things up...

Yeah, I may have cheated with the paintings on the walls, but I DEFINITLY didn't cheat on their dresses or the quilt or...or anything else, actually. (Except I did add extra texture to the wood on the door, cuz the texture I'd drawn wasn't enough.)I don't like to be lazy ALL the time. It gets...boring.
So you know why Lars is all bandaged up now, eh? HOW FAR HAVE YOU READ!?! Ooooh I want you to hurry and read that chapter so you can tell me what you think!

Well, I read up until Lars falls off the horse, but I forgot - yeah, forgot... - to comment after like page one, so now I'm going back and doing actual betaing like a good beta. However I must say that you sure do pick on Lars a bunch. Man. Also, he needs to learn to know the difference between running away like a coward and running away because it is better than being killed and having the kid you are trying to protect killed as well. *sigh* Also I don't know how he can be so sure Toredor's not dead after falling down an endless chasm, unless he knows Toredor is one of the main villains and the plot requires him to survive. Or maybe Lars is paranoid? Or maybe Toredor once told Lars, "Oh yeah, I have the coolest super power! If I fall off a cliff, I don't die when I hit the bottom! How cool is that?!"

I pick on Lars? At least Lars doesn't get raped and his blood sucked out and have an abusive evil mother and on and on and on, like SOMEONE ELSE'S protagonist I know. I AM LOOKING AT YOU HOPE. I just...crush Lars' hopes and dreams a lot, because Lars' hopelessness is kind of a reflection of how I feel sometimes. 
Lars is hard on himself. Ah! ANOTHER reflection of me! You'd think I was trying to express myself through my characters from time to time!
And I love how you point out stupid things I write/leave out, but make it so funny I can't feel all defensive about it. 
Also, I read all of your chapter, and I haven't written a thing yet. ERYTHOR'S BACK HOME I GOT EXCITED AND HAD TO READ FAST OKAY DON'T JUDGE ME!

I mean, all I know is that Lars' only family, his sister, died when he was young. I mean, at least Erythor has a bunch of good friends, and family who ISN'T his mother that he can turn to... :/ PAGH SHUT UP. HE'S TOUGH HE CAN TAKE IT.

I am glad, because I frequently try to be funny. When my mom points out plot holes in my story, she prefaces it, 9 times out of 10, with "That's dumb." I do not want to be blunt like that, because I know that even if she's right, it can still hurt. And sometimes, as recently, it can be something nearly catastrophic. Like the thing I had to rewrite. That change was prompted partially by the bedsores discussion you began (NAUGHTY GIRL YOU!) on UD and partially by one of my mom's "That's stupid" remarks, and it was a HUGE change. And if I'd had to change the sequence of events to accommodate it, as I thought for a short time I was going to half to do, it would have singlehandedly been enough to set me back three years or something, no lie. So. Yeah. Humor. Good thing. XDX
