Description
Note: This is my 52 week project, one picture for week all this 2011, in every picture I will have to talk about something about me, to be honest and to improve as an aspirant of photographer, at least that is what I think I have to do. The pictures may not be the best I can, but they are full of meaning. I started the 7th January and today I decided to submit the project to Deviantart as well. When you start in a new place, you dream about things that you've never done, things that you've never acomplished.
When I saw my room, I thought 'It's not too big'.
It wasn't big. I sat on the floor and looked at the white wall.
There was a crack in the window, it was afternoon and I could see the twilight light.
The floor is full of dust, my blue new jeans will get dirty, but I don't feel like getting up.
Then I noticed that my old radio was there, the only thing in the room apart from me, the bed and the wardrobe.
I turn it on, sintonized a radio and looked at the room again.
Why they just put rubbish in the radio nowadays? I was sick and tired of those songs, always the same lyrics.
With no meaning, just like my room, white and empty.
Will I put some lights in it? Posters, pictures, origami cranes, socks, teddies, rubbish, tears, hours of study, blankets, silence, laughs, sadness, happiness, tiredness, pillows, books, anger?
I like rooms, you can see how a person is by looking at the room of the owner. We all give a little bit of us to our rooms, and that's fantastic.
If the room has a lot of posters, and you look at them, you can guess if they like music, places, maybe they are geography lovers?
Then, you look side by side of every inch of the room and you notice that they have a guitar, or a skate, maybe a football, or maybe you don't see any of it because is full of rubbish, and then you can tell that that person loves procastinating.
But then again, what if you don't want people to see what you really do in our bedroom? What if the most valuable treasures are hidden in it?
Rooms are like their owners, sometimes, a first glance of it isn't enough.

I loved what you wrote, especially the first sentence. I remember moving into our house a little over four years ago and thinking exactly that. That this new room brought new opportunities. That I could do so much stuff I didn't do before. But the truth is now I am lying here on my bed, four years later, and I'm not sure if I did any of them. Rooms don't change us, we change our rooms because it's us who change. And sometimes, we stay the same.

Yes, you are totally right! I've changed of continent two times, of school 8 times, and of house 5 times I was very excited when I got this white room for myself because it was the first room that I didn't have to share with my little sister, so I could personalize it 100%
I've also noticed that I've stayed the same, but at the same time, I didn't.Having to leave my friends so many times, being away from my family for that long time, want it or not, and even though sometimes I don't really notice, it makes me see the world with a whole new perspective, I feel as if I don't belong to any part of the world. When I'm in Spain I'm the argentinian girl, when I'm in Argentina I'm the Spanish girl. I have three nationalities. I don't feel italian, or argentinian, or spanish. I just feel better when I travel and I see those lovely green landscapes, like when I was in Switzerland, I felt home there.
And even though, nothing of me has ever changed.

I know what you mean, I've felt like I didn't have a real home for a long time even though I'm clearly German. But I've moved quite a lot too, and it wasn't until I left home for a few months that I realized where my heart actually belongs.
It's hard at times, but it's lovely to be able to feel at home anywhere in the world, too.

Oooh, yes, I'd love to read someone's diary.
I'd really love to read specific diaries.
They're dangerous things for their owners.
What do you write on yours?

Just about what I've been doing in the day, if there's anything to say, like the other day I went mad with a girl and I wrote it down, yesterday I just wrote that I ate sausages with rice..
