Description
edit: If you want to use it, here is the install version: [link]I joined the calendar project [link] of =pica-ae and my month is november. I wanted to create a feeling of loneliness, that is not dangerous but peaceful and soothing.
The intentional idea was something with fog and trees, but after i found that awesome stock image by accident, i just had to use it
Had fun working on this in PS, although that version is slightly different, but once i was finished i realized that this is a journal that doesn't work very well for lower resolutions- FAIL!
The quote can't be seen and all those spacings look odd for smaller version. Well... so far this is just a design and the actual code will be published after august when the project ends... maybe i'll redo this... maybe!

I am using this.
I also added a .shadow code, if you don't mind.
You are credited in the journal.

WunderschΓΆnes Gesamtkonzept!
Toll !

Love it! A very serene feel to it. did you get the white text duplicates in the quote working for css?
If so I'd love to see how you did it.

Don't say that!! Every journal is unique and you have to keep in mind, that we have different months. So you can't really compare them

Looks like november would
also, it reminds me of "Ancient Mariner"
- btw: yay for horisontal moodlist

Would and should!
What is Ancient Mariner? Doesn't sound familiar
lol i had no idea where else to put it
Wanted to remove it first, but gave it another try with this "look"

LineBirgitte In reply to GinkgoWerkstatt [2009-07-27 22:51:21 +0000 UTC]
Ancient mariner is an english poem about ... an ancient mariner he's damned because he once shot an albatros and he tells his story to a wedding guest - during the poem the wedding guest and the ancient mariner becomes one, kinda.
If you're interested you can read it here: [link] it's actually very good. They made a musical performance of it at a theater I worked so you can take a short cut and listen to a song here: [link] instead of reading it
I like the horisontal moodlists and use them a lot - the vertical ones takes up way to much space imo

Oh, that's nice if my stuff reminds people of poems
And reading is better than listening too
lol yeah, that's right. But it also depends on the layout.

oh, reading is good - but the music is really good too!
Sure it depends on the layout!
Btw - I just had a problem with someone using my code to do journalskins, what did the thing with your code end with?

I'm not sure if i understand your question
What "thing" are you talking about?

LineBirgitte In reply to GinkgoWerkstatt [2009-07-31 14:29:19 +0000 UTC]
The trouble you had with someone using and uploading a modified skin - remember? I might not have been very clear in my previous journal

Ah! Well it was a collab so i had to ask that other person first what we want to do. Some of my watchers contacted that guy already, but i did the same as well. He removed the template then by himself.
That was the issue with the invalid report btw.

LineBirgitte In reply to GinkgoWerkstatt [2009-07-31 14:53:06 +0000 UTC]
Ah, ok I'm hoping my problem goes away too - but in case it doesn't - what happend with the invalid report? You also made that agreement people would have to read in stead of deviantArts, right?

GinkgoWerkstatt In reply to LineBirgitte [2009-07-31 15:04:40 +0000 UTC]
Nothing happened afterwards. After my ranting journal some more journals followed and the issue was forwarded to dA/$chix0r . Still waiting for a final answer, but it was said that we should get one within this or the next week. We will see.
That agreement thing i've made was just a suggestion. Nothing that really works

LineBirgitte In reply to GinkgoWerkstatt [2009-07-31 15:10:12 +0000 UTC]
Oh yeah, I know the agreement doesn't work, but it would be cool!
