I'd like to think Reimu is the face of Touhou (I'm somehow reminded of the colours red and white whenever I think Touhou), but to be honest, I feel both her and Marisa are pretty much the flagships of the series. Even for someone who doesn't know anything about Touhou or only briefly heard of it, they shouldn't have any problem identifying these 2

*nods* Same here. Red and white go along with it quite well, and both she and Marisa do seem like the mascots of the series.

Heh, I was just thinking... I do kinda like how that even in the official material, it's usually only *implied* who actually settles/solves the incidents the games cause, and whenever Reimu tries to claim that she fixed things her comments get ignored, challenged, or denied. (Usually by Marisa) Aya doesn't usually seem to believe her much either.

I do remember though that in the Three Fairies series of comics Yukari did bring up the events of SA that more or less implied she and Reimu went down instead of some other pair (Though my favorite pairing is Marisa and Patchouli - especially their Extra stage story ^^)

Haha yeah. But who knows, maybe it's just a joke among all of them since they are such a closely knit bunch of oddballs

Hmm, my preferred option is usually Reimu/Suika for all the nice little dialogue spread all around. I do pick Marisa/Patchouli to test my reflexes on occassions ^^
