Description
I got the inspiration from: a Vogue advert posted some years ago ( I think May 2009 US edition), thus seen by me years ago; Paulo Coelho's Brida; a book I am reading for my college work The Art of Sensual Aromatherapy (if you see the cover of this you would totally think the Vogue advert was a copy, a very good one too) and a heck load of other materials... oh and people too. Like my English Language teacher for A'levels, Ms. Haq.My fingers are already tired from drawing so I won't type more.
Except, it took me 5 hours to finish this. And as I walked to the scanner, still dazed...well actually I stared at it for quite a while when I got to it until epiphany hit me. IT WAS NOT GOING TO FIT!
And it took me quite a while to realize that it can be merged. Silly, yeah. TT.TT But then again, merging will not keep it the same.
Paper: 8K 150g/m2 acid free sketch paper
Sketched with F and 2B pencils. Coloured with Faber-Castell watercolour Pencils (the usual)

It's a subtle yet great idea, and the title complements the picture. She has red on and she's also letting it fall off, so she'd be without it, thus the title "Lady without red". Therefore it's telling about the imminent future, leaving the viewer with room for imagination. I like the concept. Simplistic yet cool!
Oh! And it's one of my most favourite paintings by you.

Thank you. Your words have left me in complete awe. When I am making art, I don't think about what "I am" doing. Its as though I m the vessel through which the art is coming out, expressing itself. I myself watch the piece as it comes together in wide eyed excitement.
So, I m glad that you as my viewer have openly written your concept. Thank you very much indeed for your comment, it is the best one anyone has given this work.

I wanted to make her hair look like Sayuri's from Memoirs of a Geisha but decided against it, because even though she was so graceful the effect would not be right for this piece.
O.O I love her bun! wishing my hair would grow out faster so I could do one too o3o
